The ending was rapid and satisfying, with a cliff-hanger for the next in the series, which I will look forward to buying.
Yes, there are some techinical difficulties, requiring our "suspension of disbelief," but they are manageable.
How many suitcase bombs are left? Do they pose an "existential threat"?

Great read but lots of spelling and other errors. These errors don't detract from the plot nor do they make the book hard to read.
This is a fast-paced adventure with expected players but you'll be surprised by one of the parties.
I couldn't see a connection between the prologue bit about the Nazis and the plot of the story.
This book was fast paced and kept my interest. The biggest problem, in my estimation, and one that keeps it from being a 5 star novel is the editing. There was more than one occasion where they mixed up the names, which gets confusing. That said, it's worth your time to read this book. With proper editing Mr. Smith could be an outstanding novelist.
Francis Smith has created an action packed thriller with an interesting plot. While the novel kept my interest, I couldn't get over the horrific editing job done on the manuscript. The mistakes were so glaring and numerous that I truly couldn't enjoy the book. I found myself counting the number of errors per page rather than just enjoying the story. Spelling, grammar and punctuation errors are an easy fix with competent editing. I can't give this novel more than three stars because of the many errors.
I thought it was a good story but spoiled by poor writing. Incorrect words ("endue" instead of "endure", "Thru" (!) instead of "Through" and many others , poor grammar, referring to a character by another character's name (at least twice), huge problem with plurals and possessives. While I enjoyed the story, I do not plan to look for any other books by this writer. He needs an editor!
There's nothing I like more than a good page turner and a book that I cannot put down. I was more than satisfied when I came across "Fury from Within" by Francis Smith. The character development is superb and the story really comes to life right off of the pages. You can tell that the author's personal experiences in the Armed Forces and travels around the world have made this book the great read that it is. I could not put it down and cannot wait to read more books by this author. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read.
Love the plot about nuclear bombs inside of suitcases buried all over the USA, the drama between the Soviets and then Russians and then Chechens and then Americans, Iranians, etc. I didn't know the Russians had a version of West Point. The realism is great to, you almost feel like you're there with the characters, it feels more like watching a movie than reading a book.
This isn't Tom Clancy, here the heroes aren't perfect. This isn't James Bond, there are not stupid gadgets or steamy sex description. This is more like Harry Turtledove but instead of having to read five 500 page books in a series, one does the job.
Downloaded the the sample and was immediately pulled in. Deftly written, the author makes his characters very believable and the scenarios they encounter more than plausible. Nice use of dialogue which draws you in and you burn through the pages at a pace which does damage to your sleep pattern, but which leaves you looking forward to the knowledge that there might be a sequel to this book waiting in your "books to be read pile." I only hope that his imagination and his energy level remain high, so that he can keep drawing us through his world of danger, espionage and intrigue.
The only downfall was in character development; though he made them believable, I feel as though he could have expanded in this area just a bit more.
